The 2017 National Association of Catholic Families conference will be held in Melbourne (Belgrave Heights) this year during the grand final long weekend, September 29 – October 1.
Please find attached the preliminary brochure advertising the weekend.
There are now enormous pressures on marriage and family life; here in Australia we are witnessing an unprecedented attack on the institution of the family.
The aim of the conference is to support and strengthen family life so that families can carry out their vocation in a society that cries out for Christian witness in a spirit of joy and fidelity to Christ.
The past two NACF conferences, held in Albury and Sydney respectively, have been very successful. This is the first NACF conference to be held in Victoria, and with the excellent line up of speakers, Melbourne’s NACF conference promises to be the very best!
The conference will commence with all night Adoration, and activities during the weekend will include daily Mass, rosary procession, talks running concurrently for parents, youth and children, as well as ‘Catechesis of the Good Shepherd’ for the 3-6 year olds. Sporting events, workshops, and a family bush dance on Saturday evening.
And don’t worry, for those who follow the ‘other religion’, the AFL grand final will be streamed live on a large TV screen on the Saturday afternoon.
During the conference there will be plenty of time for families and young people to meet and socialize with others who share similar values and faith.
We really encourage you to make every effort to attend this conference. You wont regret it!
Registrations are now open.
Please forward this information or brochure to others who you think may be interested in the conference. If you would like hard copies of the brochure to distribute to family and friends, please let us know and we will send some out to you.
Posters are also available to be placed in church bulletin boards etc. Any help in advertising this conference will be much appreciated.
