Courageous: The Movie

Honour Begins at Home

Four men, one calling: To serve and protect. As law enforcement officers, Adam Mitchell, Nathan Hayes, David Thomson, and Shane Fuller are confident and focused. Yet at the end of the day, they face a challenge that none of them are truly prepared to tackle: fatherhood.

While they consistently give their best on the job, good enough seems to be all they can muster as dads. But they’re quickly discovering that their standard is missing the mark.

When tragedy hits home, these men are left wrestling with their hopes, their fears, their faith, and their fathering. Can a newfound urgency help these dads draw closer to God … and to their children?

Protecting the streets is second nature to these men. Raising their children in a God-honouring way? That’s courageous.

  1. The theme, plot, action, drama are all in balance and able to entertain and speak to just about everyone whether male or female, young or old. The movie is a worthwhile movie to watch simply for entertainment purposes, while it has a strong worthwhile message. It has everything you want in a movie -action, drama, and humour.

Christians as well as those who do not have a relationship with Christ can relate to the story. The makers of this film are courageous to make it as it speaks boldly to where our culture is at and gives a clear message on one major piece that could heal our nation -if people will be courageous enough to heed it. And it manages to do this in a very entertaining way.

  2. It was a really good movie. It really touched me. The characters were very real and it was acted well. The action, storyline, and message were excellent. There was not 1 scene in the movie that I didn’t like! However, I do recommend it for ages 13+ only, because there are a few violent bits in it, and also drug reference. It is also one of the most emotional films I have ever seen. 5 STARS! And I hope Sherwood Pictures next film is as good as this, or, preferably better!

p.s. I can’t wait for the Hobbit to come out!!!
